Rocket Road leads along the side of
the Karbonkelberg to the Rocket House
Above: This quiet spot shelters poachers
from the wind
Right cairn marks the end of the road
for your children. There are lots of
sharp, jagged rocks everywhere, so
please caution the kids to be careful.
When you stand on one of the ‘high’
points of the island and look back at
the mainland, you will see the wreck of
the Bos 400 on your extreme right. The
ragged crags of Karbonkelberg rise
high above you and the view then
sweeps away to the North, taking in
Klein Leeukoppie, Llandudno Corner,
The Twelve Apostles, Table Mountain
and Lion’s Head. It really is an
impressive panorama.
The climb up to the road can be quite
intimidating but is short and even young
